In 2006, Vegas Robaina made 87 very special humidors as a tribute to Mr. Alejandro Robaina for his 87th birthday. The Robaina family have produced tobacco at the best plantations in San Luis, in the Vuelta Abajo region since 1845 and they have received awards and gained fame and acknowledgment for their knowledge of tobacco in general, and especially for the cover leafs which Vegas Robaina do better than most tobacco producers.
